BrightCity Books was incorporated in 2006 by Glenn Schaeffer, Dave Hickey, and Eric Olsen. We're somewhat decentralized, with offices in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Miami Beach, three centers of art, literature, entertainment, cultural experimentation, and urban cool with a distinctly international flair and "frontier" verve. Our mission is to publish books about art, design, culture, and lifestyle that inform, inspire, and entertain.
Our books will be elegant in design; we’ll go for simplicity. Prose will be clear and devoid of the twisted syntax of academics and specialists. This will be a distinguishing feature of everything we do. BrightCity publications may also be sassy, insightful, provocative, playful, humorous, astute—and with any luck, they’ll have occasional flirtations with brilliance. We vow they will never be dull.
